Course

Designed in 1969, Delray Dunes Golf & Country Club is the first of Pete Dye’s designs in Florida.

Mr. Dye was quoted in his book "Pete Dye Golf Courses, Fifty Years of Visionary Design," as saying “Both Alice and I have special feeling for Delray Dunes, the first course I ever designed in Florida.  I’m always interested in what’s going on over there. I guess that’s why I’m always stopping by, offering suggestions, and making improvements. I want the course to be the best it can be, and it’s a labor of love for me to continue refining it.”

Delray Dunes Golf & Country Club remains one of the most well-conditioned courses in South Florida. With tee times only 2 mornings a week, members can virtually show up and play any time, finishing a round in around 3 ½ hours. There’s always a game for everyone.

The round begins with a comfortable Par 4 with a wide fairway dogleg right. Fairway bunkers guard the right. A drive to the left half of the fairway leaves the best angle to a two-tiered green that angles lower left to upper right. A greenside bunker right and a deep grass hole left requires a precise short iron to improve birdie chances.
