Delray Dunes Golf & Country Club, located in Boynton Beach, FL, provides an atmosphere of distinction where members can meet their friends, entertain guests and dine in gracious residential surroundings.  Special emphasis has been placed on those elements that are the essence of a private club – high caliber membership, camaraderie, personal recognition, quality and consistency of food and service, décor and those privileges and amenities which enhance the quality and enjoyment of life.

Delray Dunes contains 323 homes on 300 acres – 200 custom homes and 123 free standing villas in seven distinct styles surrounding two scenic lakes.  Many of these homes touch on the beautiful golf course that runs throughout the community.

Delray Dunes is home to an 18-hole championship golf course designed by renowned golf course designer, Pete Dye, originally opened in 1969.  In 2002, under the guidance of the original golf course architect, Pete Dye, many improvements have been made to the Delray Dunes course. The changes have improved the playability of the course.  New features add challenge for the more aggressive and lower handicap golfers.

For the past 40 years, Delray Dunes has been host to the Bethesda Pro Am Tournament.  Past participants have included Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Tom Watson, Raymond Floyd, Fuzzy Zoeller and Beth Daniel, to name a few.  The proceeds of this tournament have benefited Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, FL.  Over $3.4 million has been raised in our 40 years of hosting this tournament.

At the helm of our golf program is Robert “Laurie” Hammer, who became the 194th PGA Master Professional in 1996. Laurie has been with Delray Dunes since its inception in 1969.  Among his many accomplishments are:

• 1976 Player of the Year - Florida Section PGA
• 1977 National Club Professional Champion
• 1978 & 1997 Golf Professional of the Year - South Florida PGA
• 1972, 75, 76, 94 Southeast PGA Chapter Champion
• 1996 Became 194th PGA Master Professional
• 2003 Elected to South Florida PGA Hall of Fame
• 2006 Elected Merchandiser of the Year, Private Clubs, South Florida PGA

Alongside Laurie, we have 2 PGA Professionals ready and willing to help you find tune your golf game. 

Our clubhouse can provide Members and their Guests with a wide range of social and recreational activities for everyone to enjoy.  Spend a relaxing afternoon on the golf course, sunbathing by the pool, on the courts playing tennis, enjoying a nice meal with your friends and family in the lounge or dining room or hosting your private events (weddings, business meetings, private luncheons, baby or wedding showers, etc.).
